French Line: Ligne de Antilles (Compagnie Générale Transatlantique) 1950s Poster

This is a circa 1950 French ocean liner travel poster by Edouard Collin. Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (CGT) was commonly called “The French Line” abroad. Collin was commissioned to paint a number of travel posters for CGT. This image depicts the SS Colombie as it is being greeted by natives as it pulls into port.
