Illustrator David Klein’s (1918-2005) big break came in the 1950s when he began working for Howard Hughes’ Trans World Airlines (TWA), creating posters that embodied the spirit of post-war air travel. In this fine example of Klein’s work, the Big Apple twinkles and shines brightly with pops of neon colors as a passenger jet glides past.
