Twa (Washington) 1950s Poster

$22$48

Illustrator Frank Lacano’s major break came in the 1950s when he began working for Howard Hughes’ Trans World Airlines (TWA), creating posters to inspire both national and international post-war travel. In this example, Lacano promotes travel to the capital of the United States, known for its classical architecture, memorials, and monuments, and depicts an iconic American landmark, The Lincoln Memorial.
