This original travel poster from the 1950s was designed by artist Lester Beall (1903-1969). Beginning in 1935, Beall created some of the world’s most recognizable logos and advertisements for corporations such as Merrill Lynch, Caterpillar, and New York Hilton. Here, the artist employs the simple element of an arrow to emphasize the sleek efficiency of travel by United States Lines.
